NagTibba was the first trek of the year2017-18 by HEC. NagTibba (altitude: 3100m) is the perfect short trek in the Garhwal Himalayas, Uttarakhand, especially for the beginners in trekking. It was an all boys trek with a total of 40 boys in the group including 3 members of HEC. The start point of the trek is a village called Pantwari, which is about 160 kms from Roorkee. We left Roorkee at around 4 in the morning in a bus and reached Pantwari by 11am, taking a halt for breakfast on the way. The weather was pleasant, though cloudy. The one way trek length was about 8kms but unfortunately we had to stop and put our tents at 5km point due to bad weather. The dinner was prepared at the camp site by the trek leaders themselves with help from the guide who accompanied us. It did rain for four long hours, thankfully we were already inside the tents by then. The weather was clear the next morning and we started the return trek at aound 8 am and reached pantwari by 11am. We started the return journey at noon and reached back to Roorkee at 5pm.
