Internal Combustion Engine Laboratory (IC Lab) is situated in ground floor of east block in Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, IIT Roorkee. The aim of this laboratory is to train undergraduate and post graduate students in the area of internal combustion engines with an objective of studying combustion engine cycles, fuel efficiency and emission diagnostics.

IC Lab is dedicated to introducing new technologies in IC engines in the country and has thrust towards alternate fuel and emission control. Several unique experimental facilities have been established to meet these objectives.
