Located in the lush green serene atmosphere on the Haldwani-Ramnagar road NTPC aided Government Polytechnic
Kaladhungi was founded in the year 2006-07 with one time financial assistance from NTPC. The institution
was approved by AICTE in the year 2009 and is affiliated to UBTE Rurkee.

Polytechnics give one the comfort of various career courses under one roof. The courses offered by
polytechnics help an individual kick-start his career-it allows him to start his own business or get
a decent job at a reputed place. Government Polytechnic Kaladhungi, Nainital is being run in
its own big grand building. The total land area of the institution is 2.73 hactare while the covered
area is 6509.40 metre sq. The building of the institution comprises of administrative building and
multipurpose building and two hostels for girls and boys respectively. Presently, the following three
engineering courses are being run in the Government Polytechnic Kaladhungi, Nainital -
diploma course in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering
(Industry Integrated) and in Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
