Hockey is our national sport and a unique sport in the sense that you need each and every guy helping each other and pulling in the same direction to be successful.
Hockey IITR provides students an opportunity to be part of the journey of togetherness and strength. Our team aims to build skills like teamwork, communication and individual persistence.
Every Student with sheer determination and dedication to learn hockey is welcome to Hockey IITR.

Major Dhyan Chand Stadium of our campus have a very well-maintained hockey ground with floodlights and water sprinklers. The Ground is open for hockey practice from early morning to late evening. Hockey IITR provides students Hockey sticks, shin pads, Hockey Balls etc. All necessary equipments for hockey training are available in our sports room.

Sangram is the annual national-level invitational sports meet of IIT Roorkee held in the month of April that observes participation from various colleges like IITs, NITs, BITS, and other private institutions. It is a three-day sports extravaganza which brings out the sporting spirit of the brilliant minds of the country and provides an ideal platform for all the sports enthusiasts to compete.

Colors Trophy is the annual sports competition organized by IITR in the month of march. Every sports forms four teams namely Red Bulls, Green Mentis, Blue Hawks and Black Mambas. Colors Trophy provides every sports enthusiast an oppurtunity to compete and showcase their talents.
