B.Tech. in Biosciences and Bioengineering
Biosciences and Bioengineering is a multidisciplinary branch of engineering and sciences developed to prepare graduates with expertise in engineering with a background in biological sciences. The primary goal of this course is to impart knowledge involving a multidisciplinary approach where the students can fulfill the expectations of a large scale of industry-related operations and high-end fundamental research. The curriculum prepares the student for fields with future challenges and intended areas of specialization. The departmental faculty strength includes a strong interdisciplinary research and teaching base in biological sciences and biochemical engineering, which prepares the student for industry and research programs.

Minor in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
The BSBE Department offers a Minor Program in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics designed for undergraduate students from various departments. This minor program provides students with exposure to the fields of Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Programming for Computational Biology, Structural Bioinformatics, and Machine Learning.
Minor in Cell and Molecular Biology
The BSBE Department also offers a Minor Program in Cell and Molecular Biology tailored for undergraduate students from other academic departments. This minor program acquaints students with Fundamentals of Biotechnology, Biophotonics, Fundamentals of Neuroscience, Bionanotechnology, Recombinant DNA technology, and IPR and bioethics.
M.Sc. in Biosciences and Bioengineering
This four-semester program is prepared to impart in-depth knowledge of basic biological sciences with a thrust on engineering aspects based on a multidisciplinary approach. The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of subjects like Genetics, Cell Biology, Analytical Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Immunology, Biophysics and Bioinformatics, relevant laboratory programs, and a research project leading to a dissertation. In addition, there are provisions of several electives within and outside departments to allow students to get exhaustive training in both the biological and technical aspects of this course.
