IIT Roorkee celebrated Teachers' Day today by honouring our outstanding faculty with the Excellence in Teaching and Research Awards 2024. Congratulations to awardees across UG and PG categories, including Prof. Shiv Kumar Gupta, Prof. Nikhil Kumar Singh, Prof. Sudheer Kumar Tiwari, Prof. Gopinath Packirisamy, and Prof. Sourabh Arora. Special recognition to Prof. Pradeep Kumar for the Lifetime Teaching Achievement Award, Prof. Manil T. Mohan for the Prof. Bal Krishna Outstanding Teacher Award, and Prof. Yogesh Kumar Sharma for the Ramkumar Prize. We also commend the top five faculty members in each category. Your contributions are the foundation of our 177-year legacy.

Faculty Orientation Program 2024
Faculty orientation program was conducted on 14th October 2024 at 04:00 pm in the Senate Hall, IIT Roorkee. A good number of new faculties joined the programme in Senate Hall. At the outset, the DOFA welcomed everyone and the presentation of various Deans and activities pertaining to different offices had been presented.

Mini-Workshop on Effective Research Mentorship 2024
A Mini-Workshop on Effective Research Mentorship October 2024 was held in MAC Auditoriaum IITR. The workshop featured distinguished speakers, including Prof. Virendra Singh , IIT Bombay and Prof. Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, Director IIT Bhubaneswar who shared their extensive experience and insights on effective mentoring practices, addressing common challenges, and nurturing the development of emerging researchers. Their thought-provoking presentations and discussions provided valuable guidance for participants looking to enhance their mentorship skills and contribute to the success of future scholars.
