GUIDELINES FOR FESTIVAL (TECHNICAL, CULTURAL, SPORTS, SOCIAL, ETC.) COORDINATORS
In regard to the misuse of IIT Roorkee’s brand name by training companies for selling courses. These guidelines must be followed by the student representative of any type of Event/Fest while collaborating with any training/workshop companies. Procedure for the approval of the MoU by the administration:
Any type of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)/ agreement of partnership between any entity in IITR and outside organization must be vetted and approved by the Dean SRIC office. The MoU will be signed only by faculty advisors/ faculty coordinators. In any case, students (General secretary, secretary, coordinator, or any other designation) are not entitled to sign the MoU.
The required documents must be submitted in the Dean SRIC office at least 5 working days prior to the date of signing for the vetting process and must be forwarded by the Faculty in-charge of the respective Fest/Campus group.
Campus groups who do not have a Faculty in-charge will not be given permission to use the IIT Roorkee’s brand name in any kind of partnership and are not allowed to sign the MoU.
Please refrain from using the IIT Logo/Name along with any other Logo/Name of any outside organization without the explicit permission from the Authorities in any kind of publication.
Fests can collaborate with a firm for conducting workshops only during the main event with the permission of faculty coordinators. Exceptions in case of onsite trials or any other such events can be made only with explicit permission from the authorities.
No permission for organizing training courses (both online and offline) outside the campus in the name of IIT Roorkee or in the name of any other entity based out of the campus should be given to any organization.
The collaboration will be solely in between a particular fest/event and the private firm. No mention of IIT Roorkee’s name in the deliverables should be made without the consent of authorities.
It is the responsibility of the organizing team to ensure that the partnered firm abides by the terms of the contract.
