Faculty Awards & Recognition
1. Prof. M. Sankar has been elected as a Fellow of the Chennai Academy of Sciences (Formerly known as Tamil Nadu Academy of Sciences, Chennai) for the year 2025 in recognition of his significant contribution to the advancement of sciences.
2. Prof. P. Gopinath received the prestigious “Ramkumar Prize for Outstanding Teaching & Research-2025” (Citation and Cash prize Rs. 1,00,000/=) at IIT Roorkee on 05 Sept 2025.
3. Prof. P. Gopinath received the prestigious “Biomedical Sciences research grant awards” by Sree Padmavathi Venkateswara Foundation, India. 2025.
5. Prof. U. Rajesh Kumar was honoured with the Young Scientist Award at the International Conference BioHeal-2025.
6. Prof. U. Rajesh Kumar has been nominated by the Government of India to attend the Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC-2025) under the category of Young Science and Technology Leaders.
6. Prof. R. K. Dutta MoU with International University - Visited Udayana University (Prof. Tjokorda Gde Tirta Nindha, Materials Engineering) to initiate MoU. The MoU is materialised in April 2025
Student Achievement
1. Dr Damini Awarded the Young Investigators’ Meeting (YIM) 2026 for oral talk and poster presentation as a Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) at Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Lavale Campus, Pune, scheduled to be held from 2nd to 6th March 2026
2. Dr Damini Awarded ECS travel grant award 2025 for oral talk presentation at the 248th ECS Meeting, October 12-16, 2025, Chicago, IL.
3. Dr Damini received the International Travel Support (ITS) grant from the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India, to attend the 35th Anniversary World Congress on Biosensors, to be held from 19–22 May 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal.
4. M.Tech student Krushna Rane has secured a six-month internship at the leading global semiconductor company, GlobalFoundries (GF).
5. Best Oral Presentation Award to Research Scholar: Ms Aakanksha Pathak at the “International conference on advanced nanomaterials and Nanotechnology 2025 (ICANN 2025)” 12-14th December, 2025, IIT Guwahati
6. Jeevan Pranay Upadhyayula, Damini Verma, Gopinath Packirisamy; “Tungsten Disulfide Nanosheet based Electrochemical Immunosensor for the Detection of Stress Biomarker in Artificial Sweat” was awarded the best poster award by ACS Applied Bio Materials at the International Conference on Advanced Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology (ICANN 2025) held from December 12 - 14 2025, organized by Centre for Nanotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology - Guwahati (Best Poster Award sponsored by ACS Applied Bio Materials)
7. Best ASM Best Oral Presentation Award to research Scholar: Mr Harish G S, at the 66th AMI Annual International Conference & Research Conclave: "Next-Gen Microbiology Education, Innovation and Research for Economy, Energy Environment”, 12th- 15th November 2025, organized by Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, Dehradun.
8. Received Outstanding Poster Presentation by research Scholar: Mr Harish G S, at the Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC) Conclave 2026”, March 8th-9th 2025, organized by the IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kharagpur Research Park, Kolkata.
9. Received 1st prize in Science Category by Ms Harish G S, at 10th International Diabetes Summit 2026”, March 13th-15th 2026, organised by the Chellaram Diabetes Institute, Pune.
10. Teenu Singh received the best poster award at the International Conference on Modern Trends in Inorganic Chemistry (MTIC XXII) organised by the University of Delhi, Delhi during 18 Dec- 21 Dec 2025.
11. The student, GAGAN KUMAR SHARMA, received a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Max Planck Institute in Germany, w.e.f. May 2025.
12. Ms Riccirani Longjam Chanu has been awarded a Poster Presentation from Nanoscale on the occasion of Nanotechnology Day 2025 at IIT Roorkee.
