Message from the Head
The IIT Roorkee achieved a secure position in the rapidly growing space research field in accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Objectives of the Department of Space and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). I'm glad that IIT Roorkee just built the academic centre named as the "Centre for Space Science & Technology (CSST)." Through targeted research and development in space science and technology.
The Centre will support national goals and number of missions. The centre provide a common platform for faculty members with their expertise to work together on intense research areas with interdisciplinary approach. It will impart state-of-the-art knowledge in the domain and develop skilled human resources to meet the demand of India and the world's ever-growing space and allied sectors.

Message from ISRO Chairman
Space Science and Technology spans a wide range of application disciplines. In order to develop the necessary capacity to meet our country's needs, it is imperative that this be promoted. It is encouraging to see that IIT Roorkee has made attempts to incorporate it into the regular curriculum, and that the ISRO-supported Space Technology Cell (STC) is a part of this endeavour.
I wish this centre continued success for its outstanding work, and I hope that it will serve as an example for others to follow in terms of academic excellence and R&D initiatives.
