Celebrating Teachers’ Day: Gratitude in Action

Commemorating this year’s Teachers’ Day, The Department of Architecture and Planning (DAP) in association with Child Relief and You (CRY), organised a few hands-on creative workshops for the school children, nestled within the IIT Roorkee Campus. This event was also a celebration of the consistent performance of DAP, in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), for past many years, including being announced first this year as well. Expressing gratitude goes beyond mere words. We took a day to craft a heartfelt set of activities that capture and showcase the profound connection between mentors and students, especially involving the young and talented school kids from Anushruti and Divine, who utilised the vibrant spaces at DAP, to enjoy creating designs out of paper (origami), clay and colours, along with their mentors - a testament to the enduring impact of guidance on the overall personal development of the students. These creative ideas made Teachers’ Day a memorable and heartfelt occasion for all of us.
