Department of Management Studies at IIT Roorkee has completed 25 years in year 2023. Starting with a single course of two years full time MBA programme in year 1998, now this department is one of the top B-school of the country. Department is offering two years full time MBA, Executive MBA in online mode for working professionals and PhD programmes.

Department is offering PG programmes under term system where a student undergoes eight terms in two years, giving a large choice of elective subjects. In the current global business scenario, expectations and skill set requirements keep changing. With term based academic structure, it has become possible to introduce new electives as and when requires.

Department has a good balance of experienced and young faculty members. Many of the faculty members are involved in interdisciplinary researches taking full advantage of vast resources of IIT campus. Many faculty colleagues are now well-known faces in the field of executive education due to NPTEL and courses available through Edtech platforms.

Department has a strong industry connect, both in public and private sectors. As a result, faculty members are actively involved in training programmes, sponsored research and consultancy activities.

Excellent infrastructure and positive enabling academic environment have strengthened the research programme at the department, as a result department is a continuous source to provide faculty members to various IIMs and IITs.
