Tell us something about your experience before joining DoMS IIT Roorkee?
I am a mechanical engineer who passed out in 2019. After my degree, I joined a small firm Advance Tek engineer as a design engineer known for design and manufacturing Bulk handlining systems. I worked there for 13 months. Apart from that, I am a theater artist. I have been doing theater for the last four years. I am also interested in various subjects such as sports, politics, stand-up comedy, etc.
What is it that you want to learn and become more proficient at during your stay at DoMS IIT Roorkee?
As a management student, I want to learn with my peers and groom myself for future leaders or managers, and I want to learn and become more proficient in core management subjects as well as other subjects. I want to do specialization in finance and marketing subjects, and I think IIT Roorkee will certainly help me to achieve the level of proficiency in those subjects. Apart from academics, I am looking forward to joining the cultural group of IIT Roorkee as soon as we come to the campus. IIT Roorkee is a land of opportunity where I can meet diverse kinds of people with diverse cultures. To learn the values of such an old institution with such diverse cultures for the betterment of me as a person is also my goal.
What suggestions would you like to give to a prospective student about DoMS IIT Roorkee?
While getting into the IIT Roorkee, I had other options. And I chose IIT Roorkee because of the alumni network of this college because it is one of the old institutes set up by the government, but after getting into college, I can certainly say it is a lot more than that. The opportunities here you will get are a lot more than at any of the institutes. And it is situated in one of the most beautiful towns with the most beautiful campus added advantage.
