Message from the Chairman-HAC, Institute Hospital, IITR

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the IIT Roorkee Hospital.

Our hospital is committed to providing quality healthcare services to the IIT Roorkee community.
ABOUT INSTITUTE HOSPITAL, IIT ROORKEE

Institute Hospital, IIT Roorkee (formerly University of Roorkee Hospital) was established on 26th November, 1957. It provides round-the-clock healthcare services to students, faculty, staff members, and their dependents.

The hospital is a 40-bedded facility, offering a range of medical services including Outpatient Department (OPD), Emergency and Inpatient Department (IPD) care, Physiotherapy, Pathology Laboratory, X-Ray, and ECG services. Ambulance services are also available for referring patients to higher medical centers, operating efficiently to meet emergency needs.

The hospital service is operated by a Chief Medical Officer, supported by a team of full-time Medical Officers, Visiting Specialists, and Paramedical staff. To guide healthcare policy on campus, the Director has constituted a Hospital Advisory Committee, chaired by the Chairman Hospital Advisory Committee. This committee plays a key role in formulating policies to ensure quality medical care for the campus community.
