God created the world disposable For both men and women alike, The man got hold of eyes and The women became its sight. Now that all mechanics of seeing Depends on the movement of eyes, The vision stands dumbstruck Following trail of the fleshy eyes. Gender division assumed centre stage Suppressing women rights to banish, As if men were born to rule the cosmos Declaring the women to better vanish. The women denied the concept of Having arrived from the planet Venus, They uprise their voices & stood firm To rope in the dawn of freeness. The deception of men’s wit To limit the female gamut, Has long fallen into a hollow pit To finally meet its end, kaput! The hausfrau then came out of The distressful caves of slavery, And tested her wingspan to Gauge the sky with her bravery. Her illustrious gifts to Science & Technology Produced scientists like Madame Curie, Contributions of Shakuntala Devi Altered the equation of gender analogy. She explored & walked the alley Stumbled amid but swayed the rally, Hustled, Hustled and Hustled Crest and trough of the valley. Kalpana and Sunita toured the space Alone did they witness stellar gaze, Avani & Bhawna’s office is airspace Brushing skills for flying to become ace. Women are capable to gallop Striding for evident scale-up, We must keep on energising Their magic & rigour to get synergising. Turning every stone and gravel Excelling the streams she travels, She gently shook the world & Made her charisma unravel. ***
She had wings, she knew she could fly She had the shoulders on which the whole world could rely, It’s fact not fiction and this you would not deny, Even after the hardest fall there is no tear in her eye, She’s a woman she knows she could fly. Her firm conviction is questioned with a why, She has to prove the world, there is no time for her to sigh, She says ‘We’ and not ‘I’, ‘Me’ or ‘My’, She knows she is made for the bigger world and not deterred by any lie, Yes! She knows she has wings and she will fly.
She was little but she was born with a soul, To fly high and touch the skies. She had within her all that she needed, To be curious and baffle the rough tides. The world said she was delicate as a flower, Little soul knew her wings have so much power. She kept her fire on, To seek more and become resilient. A women told the world what radioactivity is, Only because she never thought she was less brilliant. She alone orbited the earth 48 times, As she always remembered to look for the stars. She was known as a human computer, Multiplying 13-digit numbers with the speed of fastest cars. The Victorian age was named after her, For she ruled for more than six decades. She coded so that the world could witness the black hole, It was her hard work that stayed with her for days. She showed crowns are not made of only diamonds, But of perseverance, hard work and gaze. She was a catholic nun who dedicated her life for caring, For she believed in love and kindness to all. She became first highest-ranking office to command, All that she knew was to be upright and daring. She did it all and made her story, She knew her worth and embraced her power. Yes, she was little hen she was born with a soul, She flew high and touched the sky. HER
I am a woman, a pillar of love of one's faith to hope. I will rise with more confidence and grace from the history of distorted lies. I am half power of the superior, able to move away from the past to reach beyond the future. Like a crazy driver from a solo spirit repined from the shore, not to breakdown anymore. I will be the beauty to come outside from the veil to set a ray of hope like a strange knell in the barren isle. Leaving behind the fear and terror in the dark age, I will fly like an albatross in the sky. I can paint my own identity which entitled with colors of reverential respect. I will break the mirror of shame not to be stared by anyone with total contempt. I will liberate my opinions to decide. Gain more strength to break the tree rooted in pain in pursuit of chances outside. I will build my own spectrum to spread sunshine. I will raise my orotund voice for another woman's right to assign. I recognized myself as gods another reflection like men. I am free to live enough away from the clouds of inequality to feel the complete springing equality. I flourished every time behind a man's success gird. It's time to drift my image to pump success, to express till to be heard. I believe my tears to be my wisdom in my eyes. My head will not fall down any more like a teardrop from the eyes. I extend my deep gratitude to a brave heart for her care, love and support. Because I am a daughter of a strong woman. I am a woman.
Neither the tears of dads, Nor the servants of lads, But the gift from the Gods, As pristine as a goddess. Life begins in her womb, Else this world would be a tomb. Wisdom from her soul, That mends virtues without foul. She is the idol of love, That turns a rude kid into a dove. She must not end in bounds, Not within ashes and woods Not within home's four walls, And has to rise to huge halls. She can read and learn, She can work and earn, Because she is same as all, And is from the supreme soul. She is the master of mentors, Because she is also a mom. She is the best of defenders, As she tended us in the womb. (Dear dads) See the lamp in her heart, Fill it with love as oil, Lit it with knowledge, Which helps her as a bridge. (Dear Bros) As the best friend of her, Knowing the dreams of her, Be the bridge as beloved, And make her a learned. (Dear grooms) Know the skills in her hands, And please let her unleash it, Her true power over the lands, And know the wisdom in her wit.
We are twins, Our mom told us so. It’s our birthday today, Our cakes are same, Our dresses are same, When we cut the cake, The song they sing for us is same. But when we open the gifts, My brother receives a robot-like toy, And I again receive a Barbie doll. We wear the same uniform, To the same school we are sent, We are in the same class, And today is a science event. I am as prepared as my brother, We wish luck and hug each other, But my teacher chooses him as the captain, She says girls are too emotional to be chosen. My father and brother are learning boxing, I want to learn but they say it’s not my thing. I am now learning to cook dal in the kitchen, My brother wants to join, but mom says it’s not for men. While I’m boiling the water, He is counting his game’s score, Now I ask myself, Are we those same twins anymore? My parents argued I take up commerce or art, I pleaded my parents that in science is my heart, They sent only him for coaching but I didn’t stop, I studied all by myself and in the exams I topped. Finally, I joined the college, and I struggled very hard, Because all I received were barbies, and not fast cars. I am now into research and I lead many teams, Never was I, a captain in school, but that didn’t shatter my dreams. If you are interested in fields of STEMM, No matter the difficulties, You stand in the queue, What STEMM needs is not your gender, But your point of view. You may be cooking the dal, or Maybe kicking the football, All our struggles are unique within, In the societal fight among different genders, Let curiosity win. We need to bring the experiences of all genders together, And work in mutual reliance, Because that’s how you can now create better Science!
I adore you Mom for your love and care for the food you make and the stories you tell for the treats you give and the trips you plan I respect you Mom for how you manage work and home with no expectation while doing so much for us and the rest I feel proud of you Mom for your glory in the field of science to hear of you from peers in school and see you lighting the path for new Yet sometimes I hate you Mom for you are there for the world and not for me This sweet little star longs for you while you keep reaching new heights in the sky May you keep flying high and bright like a fairy but keep me with you like a magic wand A fairy like you may not need a wand but I want to be your strength and not the frail.
Absolutely mistaken and misled are you, And wholly you are wrong, If you opine women are in any way, Less efficient or less strong. If the goddess were not there, How could a god be born? If women were not there, The whole world would be torn. Its for Kalpana, Sirisha and Sunita, That the world connects India with space, Whatever field it may be anywhere, Women are leading in the race. History is full of so many women, Brandishing their aggressive swords, Even our computers cannot run, But for their Mother Boards. If it’s the soft, gentle attitude of women, That you think them weak and delicate, But goddesses Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Parvati Can become goddess Kali to anything decimate.
Who is that figure in blue who is flying that fighter jet? Oh! It’s the girl from Lucknow! Who is that figure in orange who is in the space shuttle? Oh! It’s the girl from Karnal! Who is that figure in saree who served as our President? Oh! It’s the lady from Maharashtra! Who is that figure in saree who is heading the foundation? Oh! It’s the lady from Karnataka! No matter what job you do, your identity often overlooked No matter what you achieve, your girl identity often surfaces No matter what struggle you went through, your name is frequently forgotten Will I ever find my own name to make my family proud? Will I ever find my own name to make my nation proud? Will I ever find my own name to make myself proud? Let there be an attitude change of acceptance for all Let there be an aptitude change for actions to do Let there be an altitude rise in thinking for all There will come one day when I too shall listen to my own identity There will come one day when I too shall be respected for my own identity There will come one day when I too shall be honoured to find my own real identity.
