Daryl G. Beetner is a Professor of electrical and computer engineering. He served as Department Chair from 2014 to May 2020. Dr. Beetner conducts research on a wide variety of topics, including electromagnetic compatibility (emissions, immunity, power integrity and modeling) at the chip and systems level and detection and neutralization of the electronics used in explosive devices. Dr. Seema Vinayak served DRDO for 37 years, including as Director of the Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL) until September 2023. A Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, she led advancements in semiconductor technologies such as GaN RF devices, IR imagers, MEMS sensors, and quantum/THz systems, earning multiple DRDO awards and authoring nearly 60 publications. She currently serves as Director of the DRDO Industry Academia Centre of Excellence at IIT Roorkee, promoting academia–industry–DRDO collaboration
