Overview
The Department Academic Program Committee (DAPC) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIT Roorkee plays a pivotal role in ensuring the academic rigor and continuous improvement of the department’s academic programs. Objectives:
• To maintain and enhance the academic standards of the department's programs.

Overview
The Department Research Committee (DRC) of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department at IIT Roorkee serves as the core body responsible for steering and monitoring all research-related activities within the department. It functions under the broader framework of the Institute’s academic and research policies, ensuring that departmental research remains aligned with global standards of excellence and innovation.
The committee comprises senior faculty members with diverse research expertise who collectively support the department’s mission to promote cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and high academic integrity.

Objective
• To manage the admission process for doctoral candidates, assign supervisors, and periodically review the progress of research scholars.
• To facilitate the evaluation of research theses and coordinate pre-synopsis and final defense (viva voce) examinations.
• To maintain high research standards through the review of publications, ethical compliance, and the quality of research outputs.
• To encourage faculty and students to pursue sponsored research, consultancy, and interdisciplinary projects in collaboration with industry and academia.
• To implement institute-level research policies within the department and advise faculty and students on research best practices.
