The IIT Roorkee has signed agreements with Taiwan Universities for a Joint/Dual Master's Degree Program. Under this agreement, the Department of Electronic & Communication Engineering and the Department of Physics (IIT Roorkee) will conduct M. Tech Programme in Semiconductor Technology with Taiwan Universities.

The procedure Step by step, for enrolled IITR students in the Joint/ Dual Doctoral Degree Program at Taiwan University, follows as below: The Students will get the opportunity to do course & research at Universities in Taiwan under joint guidance, on industry-relevant problems in Semiconductors. The students enrolled in the Joint Master’s Program will spend 2 semesters in each University.
• The first and last semesters will be spent at IIT Roorkee.
• The second and third semesters will be spent at the partner university.
• Students should finalize their supervisor at IIT Roorkee during their first semester.
• The student's supervisor should contact a faculty member at the partner university to obtain their consent to co-supervise the student.
• After receiving consent from the foreign faculty member, the IITR supervisor should write to the IR Office at dean.ir@iitr.ac.in, mentioning their intention to enroll the student in a specific joint/dual doctoral degree program.
• The IR Office at IITR will then connect the faculty member and the student with the administrative contact at the partner university, who will then guide the student through the next steps.
• The student and their supervisor must follow up with the foreign administrative office to ensure that all necessary steps are completed. They should also include the Department/Head, Chairman
DAPC/DACP Office,
International Relations Office, and
Academic Affairs Office at IITR in their email correspondence and seek their assistance when needed.
