The IC Testing Lab at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, led by Prof. Bishnu Prasad Das, focuses on research and development in advanced VLSI and semiconductor technologies. The lab is actively engaged in cutting-edge domains such as in-memory computation, RISC-V processor architecture, VLSI architectures for DSP algorithms, crypto processors and hardware security, ultra-low power circuit design, phase-locked loops (PLLs), and wearable healthcare devices. With a strong emphasis on innovation and practical verification, the scholars in the lab regularly perform IC tapeouts to validate their designs on silicon. This hands-on approach ensures the translation of novel ideas into industry-relevant solutions. The lab continues to push the boundaries of integrated circuit design, contributing to the advancement of both academic research and real-world applications.
