From the Head of the Department’s desk
With the growing complexities of real world problems, knowledge of efficient computational techniques has become not just desirable but also necessary in some cases where traditional methods are of little use. At the Department of Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing (D-AMSC), the aim is to groom the students in such methods and make them ready to take the challenging real life problems arising in diverse areas of science and multidisciplinary fields. Faculty at D-AMSC are involved judiciously in research areas including numerical differential equations, numerical optimization, data science and machine learning.
